San Mateo Concrete Services provides concrete contracting services in San Mateo, CA and surrounding areas. Our services include but are not limited to concrete driveways, patios, sidewalks, foundations, retaining walls, pool decks, floors, steps, and related concrete work. All services are provided subject to these terms and any written agreement or estimate we provide to you.

Estimates and Pricing

All estimates are provided in writing and are valid for the time period stated in the estimate document. Estimates are based on information available at the time of the site visit. The final price may differ from the estimate if:

• Unforeseen site conditions are discovered during the work (such as buried obstructions or unstable soil)
• The scope of work changes at the customer's request after the estimate is signed
• Material prices change significantly between the estimate date and the project start date

We will notify you of any material change to the estimated price before proceeding with additional work. Verbal estimates are not binding.

Scheduling and Cancellation

Once a project is scheduled, we ask that you notify us as soon as possible if you need to reschedule or cancel. Cancellations made with less than 48 hours notice may result in a cancellation fee to cover mobilization costs already incurred.

We reserve the right to reschedule work due to weather conditions that would compromise the quality of the concrete pour or finishing. In such cases, we will notify you as promptly as possible and reschedule at no additional charge.

Payment Terms

Payment terms are stated in your written estimate or contract. In general:

• A deposit may be required before work begins, as specified in the written agreement
• Final payment is due upon project completion unless otherwise agreed
• Accepted payment methods are listed in the estimate or contract

Overdue balances may be subject to late fees as permitted by applicable law. Non-payment may result in the placement of a mechanic's lien on the property in accordance with California law.

Customer Responsibilities

By engaging our services, you agree to:

• Provide accurate information about the project site and any conditions we should know about
• Ensure clear access to the work area, including removal of vehicles, furniture, or other obstructions before the crew arrives
• Inform us of any underground utilities, irrigation systems, or other hazards before excavation begins
• Allow reasonable access to the property for the duration of the project
• Keep children and pets away from the work area during active construction
• Comply with any curing instructions we provide after the work is completed

Permits and Compliance

Where required by local ordinance, we will obtain the necessary permits before work begins. Permit fees are typically included in or added to the written estimate. You are responsible for informing us of any HOA rules or deed restrictions that may affect the project. We are not liable for work that cannot proceed or must be modified due to HOA requirements that were not disclosed to us before the work began.

Warranty Disclaimers

We stand behind our work. Where a written warranty is included in your contract, its terms govern. In the absence of a specific written warranty:

• Hairline cracks in concrete flatwork are normal and are not considered a defect
• Color variations in concrete are inherent to the material and are not covered
• Damage caused by improper care after project completion, including driving on concrete before the curing period is complete, is not covered
• Damage caused by acts of nature, soil movement, or conditions outside our control is not covered

Our website content is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We make no representations about the accuracy or completeness of information on our website.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, San Mateo Concrete Services shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or related to our services or your use of our website, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for any claim arising from services rendered shall not exceed the amount you paid us for the specific project giving rise to the claim.

Dispute Resolution
